Two Roads Brewing Company Spends $2.4M, Expands Brewing Capacity to 176,000 Barrels

Two Roads BrewingTwo Roads Brewing Company out in Stratford, CT have just announced that they’ve placed a series of new orders for some additional equipment, brewhouse vessels and fermenters as part of their $2.4M expansion plans. The equipment is from Rolec Gmbh out in Chieming, Germany and it will enable them to increase their brewing capacity to 176,000 barrels. Part of the order also includes new filters as well as both cooling and storage equipment. This need to meet demand is partially due to a huge increase in demand and a recent expansion into Massachusetts as of last month.

This investment is an indication of our commitment to provide timely production to our distributor customers as well as to our contract customers,” said CEO Brad Hittle. “Just as important, we continue to invest in top-of-the-line equipment from Rolec so we can deliver the highest quality beers.

The equipment is expected to be fully operational in April 2015. Clem Pellani, VP Sales and Marketing, commented that “the response to Two Roads beers by our distributors and consumers has been beyond expectations. We needed this expansion to keep up with demand for Two Roads beers while keeping our long term commitment to our contract customers. I couldn’t be more excited about our future”.
