Jamie Bissonnette, a former Iron Chef contestant, chef and owner of Coppa and Toro in the South End of Boston, alongside the newly opened Toro in NYC is reported to have brewed and released his own beer. The beer in question is a witbier, is known as PureBiss and is described as featuring spruce tips, grapefruit zest, and kaffir lime leaves.
The beers are available at both of his restaurants for $13 a pop and is also available on draft at Sonny’s tavern in Dover, NH. We are hoping that this will change (and expand) to more locations in the near future. Little else is known as to where it was brewed and how much involved he had but knowing his level of dedication to his food and restaurants, we can all assume that it was a hands on experience for him.
