News Roundup: Night Shift Gets Canned, Meet MBC’s Newest Beer And More!
This has been a pretty eventful day in the always exciting craft beer industry and today has been no exception as we’re heard all kinds of great news.
First off the fine folks from Night Shift Brewing have just announced that starting today they will be selling 16oz cans of their new sessionable, amber ale known as Marblehead. Per their announcement, they describe their newest beer as “inspired by the flavor of salted caramel candy, we brewed this ale to hint at both the salty and the sweet. To give the beer truly local character, we teamed up with Marblehead Salt Co. for access to their hand-crafted finishing salt harvested off the coast of Marblehead, MA. With caramel malts and vanilla beans complementing the beer’s crisp, oceanic profile“.
The cans will be sold in 4 packs starting at 3PM today at the brewery and will start to hit the shelves later next week as distributors start to get their hands on them.
Then we got word that Maine Beer Company has introduced their new beer, A Little Beautiful Something. This single hop ale features El Dorado hops and will come in at 5.5% A.B.V. They hope to be able to bring this to market in the next month and most places presently getting distribution should be receiving it then. Here’s a preview of the bottle design below:
Then we got word from Allagash will be bringing their Saison into a year-round production and will be releasing it via 4-packs starting out in March. Allagash Saison is a take on a classic Belgian farmhouse style and is brewed with 2-Row blend, malt rye, oats and a Dark Belgian candi sugar. 6.1 A.B.V. and with a dry finish despite a full body.
Last but not least, we’ve been updating our Weekly Tastings page and have added a few businesses. And guess what, tonight’s Friday which means that you should head to one or more of those locations between the hours listed for some free craft beer samples!
