Jonathan Cook, author at Beer Terrain, where he released a book that “uncovers the emerging farm-to-glass revolution on the New England and New York craft brewing scene.” needs your help! Earlier this evening he officially launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise some funds that enable him to hopefully open a brewery on the property of the historic Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, Massachusetts.
Their target funding goal on Kickstarter is of $7,000, have already raised nearly $450 as I write this, and offer eleven different tiers for people to choose from on the page, the cheapest starting at $10 and the biggest one at $5,000.
This is not the team’s first foray into brewing as they’ve partnered with both Rapscallion Brewery in Sturbridge, MA and Wormtown Brewery in Worcester to make 900 gallon batches of beer known as ‘Homefield’ in the past, with a fourth batch planned for released in early May via Rapscallion. And in a continued effort to brew using local ingredients, they plan on continuing to source their malt from Valley Malt in Hadley, MA and their hops from Four Star Farms in Northfield, MA.
You can find out more about their plans on their Kickstarter page over here.
