Copenhagen Beer Fest Coming to Boston!

copenhagen-beer-music-celebration-boston-logoMikkeller’s annual Copenhagen Beer Fest is traveling across the pond to Boston this year!

This is the first time the fest has been put on outside of Copenhagen and the list of attending breweries so far looks great!  Mikkeller, 3 Floyds, Hill Farmstead, Allagash, Tired Hands, and To Øl, just to name a few and with many more promised.  We also have it on good authority that Jester King will be in attendance, as well!

There also seems to be some decent music acts as part of the bill, including Yo La Tengo.  No word on which bands will be playing which sessions, but let’s face it, if you are reading this, you are more likely going for the beer!

There are three sessions which are as follows:

  • Friday 9/23 6:30pm -11:00pm
  • Saturday, 9/24 Noon-3:30
  • Saturday 6:30-11:00PM.

Note the longer evening sessions which are also more expensive.  VIP early access is available and includes access to the fest 30 minutes early, access to “special beers,” and unlimited pours.  General Admission tickets do not allow for unlimited samples and come with 10 sample tokens.  More tokens can be purchased on site.

You can read more about it and buy tickets on the official event site.

New Site Feature: Introducing Our Breweries Map

Many peeps had requested it and it is now a permanent part of the website. That’s right folks, we now don’t just have a list of every brewery in New England, now we also have an interactive map as well!

Using the powerful Google Maps API we’ve been able to create a map of every brewery out there and will be continuously updating it to add any additional one as well. Down the road we may consider doing something similar for bottle shops and craft beer bars but for now please enjoy this new page! We plan on having the most up-to-date, comprehensive list of brick-and-mortar breweries out there!

As always we welcome feedback and if we missed any breweries on either the breweries list and/or the map, feel free to drop us a line via the contact page or on Facebook: Craft Beer Boston or Twitter: @CraftBeerBoston.
